Language Courses

NT2 Beginners (Intensive)

Van Lienden Dutch language training is the place to learn Dutch correctly whilst having fun. We have been organizing Dutch language programmes for professionals since 1992.

Many expats in the Netherlands choose to learn Dutch as a foreign language at Van Lienden in order to quickly learn to communicate in Dutch. We offer extremely effective, tailor-made courses with a high return on investment.

Our teaching generates good results and excellent pronunciation from the start. We can teach in small groups or offer individual classes. We use creative teaching methods, a personal approach and get great results. We also provide in-company classes from beginners level to Staatsexamen NT2.

Beginners

We would advise beginners to enrol for a course consisting of 60 hours of lesson time. We generally offer 20 weekly lessons of 3 hours duration each. If you would like to make arrangements for a course of different overall length, or lessons of a different duration or frequency, that is also possible.

In company

In company lessons takes place within the work place of the employee. The main advantages are that no work time is lost in travel to language lessons, and that the lesson times can be arranged to suit the work schedule of the student or students.

There are several options for in-company language lessons. Individual training, group lessons or intensive courses can be arranged. In consultation with the company and the student / students we will set out learning objectives, a lesson plan and a learning timetable.
An initial meeting will allow us to discuss and assess which language skills require improvement. For example, does the student work within a specific area of the business, does the student just want to work at understanding and speaking the new language, or is training in business correspondence needed?
Once we agree the goals of language learning for the employee, we can tailor the course structure and content to meet those goals.

Language Courses

Are you in business in a specific sector, for example agriculture or healthcare? Do you have employees whose first language is not Dutch? You can select a course in Dutch as a second language for the ‘shop floor.’

To make the lessons as relevant as possible to the practical situation, we have found that it is important for the department manager and the language teacher to be in regular contact with each other. Thus the teacher gains better insight of the work based language situations which are important for the employee, and the manager remains well informed about the progress of the course participants.
